Who am I? I’m a pastor. I’m a pastor in Northern Michigan in a rural church striving to know Christ each and every day and to lead my church to do the same. I had served as an assistant pastor for 9 years full time before moving into the position of Sr. Pastor early in 2011. (although I’m not very “senior” so perhaps “lead” or “head” pastor is a better term) In pastoring, I am firmly committed to the sufficiency of Scripture manifesting itself in the form of expository preaching.
Who am I? I’m also a husband to my wife, Bonnie, and a dad to the greatest family in the world. No one could ask for a more patient and gracious wife and who is dedicated to being a Godly woman, wife, and mom. God has blessed my wife and I with four boys who have huge personalities. I’m also a son to a pair of the greatest parents in the world that have influenced my life greatly. My dad’s practical wisdom for daily living is one of the greatest legacies that he has given me.
Most importantly-who am I? I am a sinner saved by God’s grace. Why God chose to show His grace to me is beyond my comprehension. The more I study God’s Word, the deeper I’m convinced of my own sinfulness and of God’s favor that He has shown to me. Truly, I can boast in nothing but Him.
